Thorne's Ultimate-E is a unique blend of mixed tocopherols, which are vital antioxidants that provide protection from free radicals and other by-products of oxygenation. These tocopherols are extracted from a mixture of vegetable oils, including soy oil, and are processed to remove any potentially allergenic soy residue. This ensures that our product is free from soy oil fillers.

Ultimate-E has been shown to benefit the cardiovascular system, and research has demonstrated that it has a stronger inhibitory effect on lipid peroxidation than alpha-tocopherol alone. This makes it an efficient way to supplement vitamin E.

Tocopherols inhibit the enzyme cyclooxygenase, which has been linked to cardiovascular disease. Human studies have also shown that diets supplemented with mixed tocopherols provide more DNA protection than diets supplemented with only alpha-tocopherol.

To ensure consistency, extra alpha-tocopherol is added to each batch of Ultimate-E, standardizing the amount to 500 IU per gel cap.
